School is not open tomorrow.

Szkoła nie otwarte jutro, czwartek, 23 grudnia jest.

A escola não é aberta amanhã, quinta-feira 23 de Dezembro.

 

I would like to confirm that school will be closed on Thursday 23rd of December 2010 due to frozen water pipes. I would also like to thank staff and children for their help over the last few difficult days.

Christmas Carols

We are practising carols at the moment; we are, as of now, unsure, whether we will have a performance at school, sing in town or a mixture of the two. We have a few different groups working on this at the moment. We will have more news on this next week. Any queries, talk to Sean.

Tidy Towns Winners

Well done to Aaron Ashton and Klaudia Kalejova in winning prizes at the Tidy Towns poster competition.

Head lice

Please check and treat for head lice this weekend.

 Parents of Infant Children

Can you make sure that your child wears clothes that they can do up when they need to do them up.

Reminder

School is closed at 12.30 on Thursday 16th of December 2010 for a staff meeting. School closes for holidays on the 23rd of December at 12.00, back on the 10th of January 2011.

Christmas Cards

Nearly all of the Christmas cards are now sold out. Last few packs available from Patricia.

 

 

Assembly

We hold assembly every Friday to encourage good behaviour.

Behaviour in the yard this week was generally good. Children played carefully in icy conditions and we had no accidents at all. Well done!

Web Site

The school web site at www.eetns.ie has been updated and all Newsletters from this year are available.

Christmas Carols

We hope to be singing Christmas Carols in Ennis during Christmas. Parents are welcome to join in. Please give your name to Sean if you are interested.

Knitting Club

Third Class are knitting on Fridays. Mums and Grans are helping out.

Christmas Cards

Christmas cards are available for sale this week. If any parents would like to buy cards please talk to Patricia.

 

Monthly Newsletter

We hope to have a more comprehensive newsletter available each month. We hope to publish the monthly newsletter for the 17th of December. It will feature slots concerning Literacy and Numeracy in the school as well as the many projects that the school is involved with.

Bad Weather

If we need to close the school due to weather conditions we will post up a message on the school website and we will also contact Clare FM. We will have text a parent running, once we upgrade the computer system in the office. Make sure you have provided an up to date mobile number to the school.
