Ennis Educate Together National School

Last year Catherine O’Halloran  raised almost €600 for the school  by running in the Women’s Mini Marathon in Galway on the 27th June 2010. Some of these funds have been used to buy flower bulbs which have already been planted in the school garden at the back of the premises

We look forward to seeing their work in full blooom this Spring.

The PTA meet on a regular basis in the school.  The PTA  welcomes all parents to come along to these meetings with new ideas for fundraising and organising events from which all our pupils benefit. 

Tomorrow, Friday, December 11th will be the last day of the book fair. Thanks to all of the parents who helped out during the week, and a special big thank you goes to Kate Maher who manned the coffee/tea station this afternoon during the parent/teacher meetings. Thanks also to Frances for putting it all together and to Orla for allowing us to use her room.

We will be having another coffee morning for parents to come and view the books tomorrow morning from 9.30am to 10.30am. Come along for a relaxing coffee and a chat. Hope to see you there!

Thank you to all the parents, children and teachers who supported the PTA Coffee morning which went extremely well. The cakes were absolutely delicious and we made a staggering €300! 

The PTA will be hosting another coffee morning next Friday, December 11th so that parents can purchase books from the Book Fair and enjoy a relaxing cuppa at the same time!  Hope to see you there.

We still more parents to help out at the Book Fair, we’ve split the day into half hourly slots from 11.30am until 3.00pm, Monday, December 7th to Friday, December 11th. If you need to see what spaces are available or want to see what times you are on, please see the Volunteer Schedule here.

Book fair all next week, December 7th to 11th! Great gifts for Christmas! The more we buy the more books the school will get. We understand that times are tough, but if you are going to buy a book as a present this year, please buy it here. Thanks to Frances for organising the Book Fair again this year. This is always a great event and the children really look forward to it.

We need parents to help out during classtime so that children can view the books and also between 2.00pm and 3.15pm. Anyone with any free time, please contact Frances.

Please bring something or come and buy! Parents welcome 9.30am to 10.30am, come and have a coffee too. It’s a great opportunity to meet up with other parents and have a chat.

Children wll be able to buy cakes after 10.30am, suggested donations €2.00 for four cakes.

Please support as all money will go to develop our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
